Still dealing with an issue with a car I purchased in sept 2022 It was sold with less than 1 month MOT. I returned it for an MOT.
It has since broken down and they agreed a repair that by Halfords whilst the be car was under an extended warranty. Halfords explained there were numerous other repairs that were required and advised that these repairs should be completed by Peugeot.
I took the car to Peugeot on Wednesday 18th of Jan 2023. The warranty company and phantom have refused for the repairs to be completed by Peugeot stating that the warranty cannot be used at a chain, this is despite the initial repairs being completed at Halfords.
I was then told to return the car to Halfords ‘because they had ripped me off and phantom were unwilling to agree to any further repairs’ I was repeatedly questioned about the repair despite me repeatedly explaining I am not a mechanic.
The repair video and report from Peugeot includes a significant repair required to the sump gasket and coolant hose. There were other numerous faults including a corroded part of exhaust.
They knowingly sold this vehicle with a number of issues - it requires a further £1000 worth of repairs
The two sales man lied and said under our extended warranty our car would be recovered if broken down and we would have a courtesy car. The aftersales team are now refusing repairs
Staff have no integrity or guilt. You are also unable to contact the director - no details shared!!
Now fighting for a refund
